The Television

Television is a way of sending sounds and picture throught the air. Scientists have been interested in the idea of television since the 1980's. Although John Logie Baird was the firs to show how television work, his success was based on work by many other scientists from all over the world. Baird showed his set in 1926. The first television servise opened in 1936 in Britain. Colour television beganin the United States un 1956.

At firts, all television was black and white. Few people owned television sets because the were very expensive. Now nearly every home has one.

Television gives us a lot of information about what happen in the world. It provides news, sport events, film, music and also advertisements. Advertisements contibutes television to broadcast its programs.
